Boyd general store open for business

Fort Gunnik, grocery/ general store, located in Boyd off Highway 212, between Roberts and Joliet has opened its doors to the community. Owner, Ralph Gunnik welcomes those passing through town, either on their way to see the beautiful Beartooths, or planning a camping trip at Cooney Dam, to stop in and get needed supplies.

“We’re stocking a lot of grocery items compared to most general stores and we’re also selling camping and fishing gear,” said Gunnik. Other items include local beef products from the MT Cattle Company in Missoula, firewood, frozen breakfast meats, baking items, ice, cold drinks and other foodstuffs for summer outdoor fun.

The store is open 7 days/week, from 6 a.m.-10 p.m., located at 7 1st St. in Boyd. Call (406)962-9135 for more information. “I’m glad to see this place open,” said one motorcyclist, stopping in for a cool drink.
