BREAKING NEWS: Commissioner Tucker hospitalized

This week Carbon County Commissioner Doug Tucker, pictured left, was hospitalized for an undisclosed condition.

Commissioner Bill Bullock said on Thursday, Aug. 24, “We’re functioning in the meantime. Business goes on.”

During the morning, Tucker did call in from the hospital for an update from Bullock. Tucker was also not present for the earlier Monday, Aug. 21 Commissioners’ day agenda. Since a quorum was not reached, meetings were canceled that day.

On Thursday at 10:30 a.m., newly appointed Commissioner Scott Blain was sworn in and a quorum was again possible. The meetings scheduled for the day’s agenda, after 10:30 a.m., proceeded.

No specific date was given at this time for Tucker’s return.
