Bruce W. Rintala
Bruce Wayne Rintala passed away at the age of 59 at his home with his family caring for his every need. He is finally released from the pain and disability he has endured for quite some time. Bruce was born June 17, 1955, in Red Lodge to Hugo and Irene Rintala. After graduating from high school there he served his country in the Army. He came to live in Spokane, Wash. where he met Kimberly Helms, his devoted partner for 28 years.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Hugo and Irene, and a sister Gayle Naylor. Close survivors of Bruce include sisters Karen (Mark) Kent and Judith (Robert) Christiansen, nieces and nephews, his life partner Kimberly, stepdaughters Melanie, Amber and Stephanie and six grandchildren. Good-bye to a loyal partner, stepfather and grandpa. Good-bye to our brother, uncle and friend. Good-bye to a tough and determined Finnish man with “SISU.”
The family gives a heartfelt thank-you to the staff at Spokane Veterans Medical Center and Community Living Center for the care you gave Bruce. Bruce has been entrusted to Spokane Cremation Service. A Veteran Honor Service will be held Tuesday, July 22, 3 p.m., at the WA State Veterans Cemetery, Medical Lake.
