Carbon County Historical Society & Museum hosts Mike Bergstrom

Date
Thursday, May 22, 2014 - 6:00pm

The Carbon County Historical Society & Museum hosts Mike Bergstrom, Archaeologist for the Custer and Gallatin National Forests, on May 22 at 7 p.m. He will present “Early Days on the Beartooth National Forest, Through the Eyes of Thomas “Shorty” Frederick Hogg & Arthur M. Baum.”  These two pals worked on the Beartooth National Forest during the early 1900s and into the 19teens. The photographs show back-country scenes, people, buildings and animals, etc. Quite a few photos are unknown, so Mike is hoping for audience participation. As will be revealed in May, the presentation is dynamic, and by the end of the talk it will be a Paul Harvey moment (...and now you know the rest of the story!). The Museum is located at 224 N. Broadway. Please call 406-446-3667 for more information or visit our website at www.carboncountyhistory.com
