Charles Gene Hansen

Charles Gene Hansen born July 23, 1945 in Butte, Montana, to Charles and Ruth Hansen.  He was the second oldest of 4 children.  He grew up learning about life in old Butte. Once out of school he lived with Ralph Bridges where he met L’ Dean who would later become his wife.
Charles wanted a career in the Marine Corps and enlisted in 1964. He served one tour in Vietnam and due to medical issues he was forced to leave his life of service in 1972.
During his time in the Marine Corps he was honored in marriage to the greatest love of his life L’Dean Bridges on Dec. 26, 1969. She was his angel and his rock. She stood by him throughout all that life had to throw at them, until her passing in June 2012.
In marriage he gained a son Jesse who he loved dearly and raised as his own.  Later in marriage they had a daughter Sandy during his service stationed in Hawaii. Although things were not always easy Charles loved his family above all else.  He always found time for his children.  Instilling a love of fishing, marksmanship, and fond appreciation for automotive mechanics in his son Jesse.  He instilled deep love of animals to his daughter Sandy and enjoyed teasing her for having red hair like her mother. For with that red hair came the belief that all things should be good, never bad.  As she and her mother both have the ability to see only the good. What his son Jesse loved most about his dad, was how big his heart was. In fact one of the things Charles loved most was his 6 grandchildren and his 7 great Grandchildren. This time of year was always hardest on Charles since the passing of his Angel. With so many special traditions the two of them shared through the holidays he is now able to celebrate with her once more.
Charles passed at his home Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017. He was doing what he loved, and that was working on cars.
He is survived by his son Jesse(Jeannine) and his daughter Sandy (Jim). His Grandchildren , Jessica, Shawn, Sara,(Justin) Nina, Alyssa and JP. His Great Grandchildren Kylar, Shaylah, Martin, Dakota Amaya, Adalyn and Tobias.   Sister in law, Lynette Gaught, Younger brother Randy, beloved nephew Cory (Candie). Great nephews Shane, Randy and David.  Also Shane Gaught and Niece Rhonda Holland. And many other nieces and nephews and cousins. Along with Dear friend and companion Marilyn.
He is preceded in death by the love of his life L’Dean Hansen. Both sisters Barbara and Katherine. Along with Both Parents Charles and Ruth Hansen.
