Congratulations to Baucus

To the Editor:I want to congratulate Max Baucus for his recent stand on our 2nd amendment rights. It surprised me that he stood up for Montanans in this instance when he is so willingly turned his back on his constituents when it came to Obama Care. Now, when he has decided not to run for another term, he has become a critic of President Obama and the implementation of Obama Care. Go figure! On the other hand, we have Jon Tester, who recently came out for gay and lesbian rights to marry and voted for the gun legislation. Timing is everything. Could it be that Tester feels that being onboard with the Obama agenda buys him more influence with the party now that he has won re-election and that he doesn’t need to worry how Montanans feel about these issues until his next campaign? Sincerely, Dave SmithRoberts
