Dale Tysver

Red Lodge-- Dale Tysver, born August 4, 1923, passed away on March 5th after a long illness. Dale was raised on a farm in Hazen ND, the son of Irie Oscar and Nettie Tysver. In 1950 Dale moved to his favorite ranch in Luther MT just east of Roscoe Hill. He continued the family business of raising and training Quarter Horses. His favorite past time was roping and chariot racing when he wasn't occupied having coffee and watching the horses in the pasture. In 2002 he relocated to a new ranch near Hardin where he expanded his ranching efforts to a bigger place and more horses. Throughout his life, Dale was always picking up strays. Both animal and human. Over the years, he had a myriad people he helped with housing or work, and he always had an eye out for a good horse trade. It's difficult to say what his biggest legacy is but for his surviving children, Andrea (Robb) Sager and Thomas (Jackie) Owen, and his four grandchildren, it was his kindness. He taught this to his children and lead by example how to love family. He will be missed. The family will have a private service, no public visitation. Any gifts should be donated to the St Vincent Foundation www.svfoundation.org
