Daniel Grant Brown

Daniel Grant Brown, born in Miles City, April 21, 1940, passed away Oct. 30 2013. Was preceded in death by father Daniel M. Brown, mother Lela M. Thomas Brown, and sister Sandra L. Brown. He is survived by wife Ruth Ann Brown, daughter Judette L. Moe, granddaughter Kayla M Moe, sister Sharon Rabtoy and brother Clifford F. Brown. Graduated Custer County High School in Miles City and City University in Bremerton Wash.. He worked as a police officer for five years and in 1963 married Ruth Ann Gunderson. In 1972 he returned to the Navy and made it a career.

He spent the next 40 years going from west coast to east coast, on land and sea, and had one tour in Italy. He retired in 1997 and moved to Shelton Wash., to be closer to his daughter and family and spent the next 17 years enjoying being grandpa. He liked hunting, fishing, racquetball, baseball, bowling and attempting to play golf.

There will be a memorial service at Faith Lutheran Church in Shelton, Wash. on Nov. 14 at 10 a.m. The family is also going to have an Internment for Dan at Mt Tahoma. Memorial donations can be made to Disabled Veterans, National Service Office, VA Regional Office, Federal Building, Room 1058, 915 Second Avenue, Seattle WA 98174. Arrangements by McComb & Wagner.
