Fromberg FFA enjoys stock show

On Jan. 20, as part of the Fromberg FFA , Buster Kern, Marikie DeRudder, Lindsay Richardson, Mindy Barker, Courtney Richardson, Levi Wilm, and our advisor Jennifer Birrer, and a chaperone Sherry Hoskin left for the National Western Stock Show in Denver, Colo.
We stopped in Casper, Wyo., along the way and ate lunch at Sanfords. The highlight there was the giant Bugs Bunny and all the other cool decorations around the restaurant.
When we arrived at Denver we went straight to the Wild West Show. We got to see chuck wagon races, Native dancers, and lots of people doing tricks on horses. We also went to the Nature and Science Museum and saw a real Mummy, Egyptian artifacts, and watched a move in the IMAX Theater about the ocean.
Another place we visited was the Wings over the Rockies Museum that used to be an air force base. We got to see lots of different kinds of planes and military jets. We went to the Denver zoo and the aquarium and saw lot of new and neat animals. At the aquarium we all got to feed and pet the sting rays and then we finished off the evening by eating there with the fish all swimming around us.
We ate at many new and different places during our trip. One such place was Casa Bonitas where we got to enjoy cliff divers and have characters drawn of us and play in the game rooms. One of the evenings we went to the dancing horses show and saw many different kinds of horses and lots of the tricks and routines they could do.
We also took a tour of the Hammonds Candy factory were we got to see how ribbon candy is made.
On the last day we took a tour of the Anheuser-Busch plant and learned how Montana’s Barley is used. We also got to see the where the famous Clydesdale stay as they were in California filming the Super Bowl commercial. Over all, the trip was very educational and we got to see many sites of Denver Colorado.
