Fund set up for Bearcreek couple

A benefit fund has been set up at the Bank of Red Lodge for Kathy Burgener and Bob Thompson, Bearcreek, who recently lost their home and all belongings due to a house fire. Donations will also be received at the Bank of Joliet or Bank of Bridger either by person or mail. Please make checks payable to the Burgener/Thompson Benefit. The Bank of Red Lodge will be a drop pff location for all other types of donations and will see that they are delivered to the couple.

A fire destroyed Burgener home Thursday  morning. Thompson believed it was a fault of their new water heater. "I saw sparks in the wall and threw snow on it," he said.  The family pet birds were also saved. Highway 308 was closed temporarily.  Both the Red Lodge Sheriff's  Department and the Fire Department were on scene.
