RED LODGE MT- Jerry, age 67, finally gave up his fight on Monday, March 10, 2014 at his home. He was brave, like he always was. Jerry lived in Red Lodge for the past 17 years. He lived exactly the way he wanted and he told you exactly what he thought. He did not “suffer fools gladly.” Jerry was an implement salesman for the better part of his life. He attended college at North Dakota State University in Fargo where he played football. He also played football for Dickinson State University in Dickinson, North Dakota. He is survived by his son, Brian (Jan) Locket and his beautiful granddaughter MaxAnna, all of Denver, Colo.; three sisters, Penny (Mark) Eckelberg of West Fargo, ND, Pam (Greg) Lindemann of Crosby, ND, and Kathy (Milt) Bastian of Red Lodge, MT; many nieces and nephews who loved having an uncle that was so “politically incorrect;” and of course, his ponies Jack and Jill, who he loved more than anything. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Laura Locket, and his two brothers, Mike and Tom Locket. There will be a gathering of his family and friends, open to all, from 4 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 21 at the Rocky Fork Inn, 716 South Broadway in Red Lodge. We can all share our “Jer” stories.
