Jessica Lee French Stephenson

Jessi Stephenson, 25, of Joliet, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013. Jessi was taken from us while doing what she does best, helping other people. Jessi was born May 21, 1988 in Billings. She graduated from Joliet High School in 2006 where she participated in volleyball, basketball and track. Jessi had a very special gift for helping those in need as a CNA with St. Vincent Hospital for the past two years. Prior to that, she was a CNA with St. John’s for f ive years on the dementia floor. She had plans of furthering her education in the fall at Montana Tech in Butte. Her work ethic and determination were recognized by her peers. Jessi enjoyed both outdoor activities, including hiking, camping, fishing, bon fires and the occasional random road trip, as well as indoor activities, including cooking and baking. There is not a soul that she met whose heart she did not touch in one way or another. To know her was to love her and her numerous f r iendships proved that. She had that special bond with her sisters, Tass and Li t t l e Human, that cannot be broken. All secrets were safe with Jessi. Mom and Dad will never forget their little cupcake and Jessi James. To Jessi, nothing was more important than her family. Even her faithful pup Lily is saddened by the loss. Heaven gained a rock star angel. She is the true meaning of hero and that will never be forgotten. There are not enough words to describe the type of amazing person Jess was. Jessi was preceded in death by her Grandparents Ray (Papa) French and Herb and Ella Mae Stephenson. Jessi is survived by her parents Brad and Cheri Stephenson of Joliet and Al and Terri French of Absarokee. Her sisters, Cassi (Cory) Bowman of Joliet, Harlie Stephenson of Joliet, Brandie (Jeff) Staples of Billing, Ashley Stephenson of Evanston, Wyo., and Serena (Ben) Adams of Victor, Idaho. Her grandparents Dorothy and Gary Holbrook of Joliet and Maretta French of Nye. Her aunts and uncles Tom Christman of Cheyenne Wyo., Auntie Carla and Uncle Bill Phillips of Forsyth, Tim and Shirlee Kaczmarek of Laurel, Doug and Sue French of Billings, KK and Steve Snook of Colo., Nick and Lynette French of Billings, Denny and Marilynn Stephenson of Fromberg, Vicky Harrison of Billings, and Bill and Cindy Stephenson of Hysham and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Dance with the angels Jess, we will see you again someday. Memor ial servi ces were held Saturday, Dec. 28 at 11 a.m. at the Joliet High School gymnasium. Cremation & Funeral Gallery, 29 8th St. W., in Billings i s in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers we ask that you send donations to Gateway (Battered Women’s Shelter).
