Joliet woman charged in sexual assault crime

An ‘Information’ document was filed in District Court, Carbon County by County Attorney Alex Nixon against Calico Colvin, Joliet, 31, on April 2, charging Colvin with two felony counts involving an alleged sexual assault against a minor. The charges were Sexual Intercourse without Consent and Tampering with a Witness. In an affidavit filed earlier with the District Court by Joliet Police Chief Kyle Croft, it was alleged that an inappropriate relationship started with a male minor, 15, in the summer of 2013, and that the sexual relationship continued through the fall of 2013. The affidavit further alleged that the defendant told the alleged victim, via Facebook that “They (police) need to know that nothing happened when u were 15.” Colvin is a former mental health worker at the Billings Clinic Psychiatric Center, Billings, from June, 2008 to March, 2010. The investigation is ongoing. The arraignment and first appearance is scheduled for Wednesday, April 16, at 9:30 a.m., in Carbon County District Court.
