Large crowds flock to ski mountain's opening day

The Red Lodge Ski Mountain opened its doors today and was greeted with 1,300 skiers and snowboarder ready to take off. One skier said, "Considering the conditions it's a lot of fun. Not too hard not too slushy." Those there can use 6 lifts, Triple Chair, Miami Beach, Magic Carpet, Willow Creek, Grizzly Peak, and Cole Creek. There are 56 trails open and 13 trails groomed. Open runs include 100% of Cole Creek (including Headwaters), everything off of the Grizzly Peak chair except the Drainage area, and everything on the lower mountain except Lower Limited, HFNT, Big Fred's, Chase's, and Lower Miami.
