They were chosen for providing an essential fitness center to Red Lodge.

One of the nominees praised, Steve and Debbie Mikels for "providing a well maintained fitness facility run by qualified professionals." "They also promote corporate fitness and individualized fitness plans. Steve and Debbie have also worked with other health professionals in the area, allowing them to offer various classes for different needs," the nominee said.

Chamber member Glory Mahan added that the Mikels also volunteer for the 4th of July, and Operation Second Chance, which gives "veterans an opportunity to come to Montana and enjoy everything here."

"We want this community to be the healthiest in Montana," said Steve. “And also be the bench mark for the Northwest. I could not do it with out my daughter and son-in-law and my two granddaughters. And not without the client base. I want to remind you, that you spend time to maintain your car, spend time to do maintenance of your yard and shovel snow. Take time to do maintenance on your body, don’t forget it and don’t get too busy. Thank you.”

First Interstate Bank sponsored the awards which were made by Back Alley Metals.
