On Tuesday, Nov. 19, Resident Agent in Charge Ken Bray of the federal office of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ (ATF), Billings, confirmed to CCN that they have located the explosives found stolen in April, 2013, from the storage facility owned and operated by the U.S. Forest Service. “We have located and are in possession of all 559 lb of explosives. We have conducted an inventory and there is nothing missing.” Bray said he was releasing this official word to reassure the community. The items were stolen from a facility south of Red Lodge prompting numerous city meetings with parents about the safety of their schools. “We felt it was very important from a public safety aspect,” said Bray. Red Lodge Schools Superintendent Mark Brajcich agreed, “I think that would make the parents, students and school personnel breathe easier. I compliment law enforcement on their diligence.” Bray confirmed that the investigation was “very active” and ongoing.
