Police to stamp down on speeders

Be advised if you travel on Hauser, Villard or Word Avenues the Red Lodge Police Department will begin strictly enforcing the speed limits on these Avenues immediately.

Recently the City has experienced numerous complaints about speeding in this area and the dangers speeding creates for the residents and those using the Parks, etc.

The speeding issues in conjunction with the Highway 212 improvement project will create additional traffic on Hauser and Villard Avenues increasing the danger for those who live, use the Parks and the children who play in the area.

MUCH OF THIS AREA HAS 15 MPG SPEED LIMITS!

It is hoped that the City will have compliance with the speed limits eliminating the need to write speeding tickets. They urge you to carefully watch your speed if you are traveling in this area and to be mindful of the increased traffic which will be occurring once construction begins on the Highway improvement project.
