Priest trial put back to January 2015

Senator Jason Priest trial date for charges of assault has been put back to Jan. 12,  2015. The original date was to have been Aug. 12. Priest was appearing at an omnibus hearing before Judge Blair Jones at Carbon County District Court, June 11. Sen. Priest was arrested Feb. 1 after an altercation at his home and charged with assault on a minor and misdemeanor counts of partner or family member assault, assault and resisting arrest. He pled not guilty Feb. 20 to these charges. He is on a $1,500 bond.
