A proven leader

To the Editor,

There is a lot to admire about Ed Williams. Ed brings solid credentials as a candidate running for Mayor of Red Lodge. His vast, varied, and successful business career provided the strong foundation necessary for his effective contributions to the Red Lodge City Council for the past 3 years. Ed's experience in dealing with complex business issues and responsible fiscal oversight, combined with strong interpersonal and team building skills, promoted Ed to a variety of leadership positions on the city council where he consistently demonstrated sound judgment, common sense, and diplomacy to address all city issues and challenges. I have had many occasions to work with Ed and have found him to be a sincere listener, an effective problem solver, possessive of a keen understanding of the issues, and, most importantly, a man of his word.  I equally admire Ed for his selfless volunteer work.

Ed is the first person to raise his hand to say, "I can help" and does so cheerfully and for as long as it takes to get the job done. Ed has demonstrated his community spirit time and time again through his volunteer involvement with Beartooth Humane Alliance, Elks, Carbon County Historical Society, Cruisen Red Lodge, Red Lodge Area Community Foundation, Beartooth Billings Clinic Foundation and Carbon County Boys & Girls Club.  Red Lodge is an exceptional city and deserves an exceptionally qualified candidate like Ed Williams to respect, preserve and strengthen this place we call home. I hope you agree with me and will vote for Ed.
