A purr-fectly doggone great evening for the animals

To the Editor:
Nashville recording artists Joey + Rory's performance delighted 230 attendees this past Saturday at the 6th Annual Fundraiser to benefit the Beartooth Humane Alliance. This fun-filled evening of Joey + Rory's unique charm and talent had us laughing and crying. A net amount of $23,000 was raised to help animals in need through our foster and adoption program, spay/neuter programs, humane educational programming, supply of pet food to area food banks and hay to horses at risk of starvation or abandonment.  We will never forget Joey + Rory's generosity in sharing their incredible musical talents for the benefit of Carbon County animals. And as if that were not enough, Joey + Rory surprised us all with a special auction for a private concert. Our deep and heartfelt gratitude goes to Joey + Rory for all they have done for BHA and we look forward to their return!
And a huge thank you goes to Anita Shiver for chairing this event, Larry Black for "connecting" us with Joey + Rory, and volunteers Rhonda Baker, Sarah Harris, Jeanette Hill, Karen Kohley, Dennis Stevens, Sharon Williams and Wally Zook.  We are also very grateful for the generosity of our event sponsors.
Thanks to all who attended our special event and for your on-going support to make our community a caring and compassionate place for the animals!
