Raymond Patana

Raymond (Ray) Patana, 81, of Benson, Ariz., passed away July 1, 2014 in Tucson, Ariz. He was born Aug. 25, 1932 in Russia, the son of Helmi and Arne Patana. When just weeks old his family returned to Red Lodge where he was raised, graduating from Red Lodge High School in 1950. After graduation he entered the Navy and upon discharge he attended college in Bozeman.

There he earned a degree in entomology. This resulted in a career working for the USDA in Tucson, where his research may be found printed in many books and documents published by the USDA. On May 4, 1968 Ray married Ysaura (Tita) Noriega. Ray and Tita spent many good years in retirement. Traveling the USA, Mexico and Canada. His wife Tita and many relatives and friends survive Ray. Condolences may be sent to his wife at 600 Saguaro Dr., #186, Benson, Ariz 85602.
