Red Lodge to host “JUMP START” with Greenberg

On Monday, Jan. 13 at 10 a.m. in the Red Lodge Rams Arena will be hosting "JUMP START" presented by Scott Greenberg. There will be two presentations, high school grades 9-12 at 10 a.m. and middle school grades 5-8 at 1:30 p.m. in the Civic Center. The following organizations provided the opportunity to bring Greenberg to the schools: Red Lodge Inn, Red Lodge Area Community Foundation, Red Lodge High School Boosters, Red Lodge High School Student Council and Domestic and Sexual Violence Services of Carbon County. Each year student council leaders from Red Lodge High School and Roosevelt Middle School attend the Montana Student Council Association conference. The annual conference gathers approximately 500-600 student leaders from across the state showcasing several motivational- type speakers along with many leadership workshops. This year the conference was held in Miles City and Student Council Advisor, Jennifer Collins along with seven leaders from RLHS, attended. A luncheon will follow the leadership conference asking each participant to share their insights and suggestions along with recommendations for possible program changes, policy revisions, leadership and school spirit ideas. Specifically, they often share recommendations on whom the group collectively might recommend for a student body motivational speaker/program for the school and Greenberg was chosen. Surrounding schools including Roberts, Luther, Bridger and Belfry have been invited to this event.
