Red Lodge names four finalists for Chief’s position

After 59 applicants, 7 from Montana, the City of Red Lodge has named four finalists for the posi t ion of Red Lodge police chief. The four candidates will be in Red Lodge for a public meet and greet at the Elks on May 21 from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.

The candidates are; Joel Fish of the Catawba County Sheriff ’s Office, Newton, N. C.; Nathaniel Harder, Chief of Police for the Breckenridge, Minn.; Steven Hibler is from Camby, Ind., and he was with the Indiana State Police from 1983 – 2012; and Kenneth Weaver from Vacaville, Calif., and has over 29 years of law enforcement experience.

On May 22 the candidates will be interviewed. Each interview panel will consist of three or four people and will include: professional panel; community panel; city council panel and mayor panel.
