Tremendous Effort

Just as the Red Lodge Lady Redskins broke the girls basketball barrier when they played at the first State tournament back in 1973, so now have the Lady Rams taken up the baton and furthered the caused by coming 4th last week in Billings at State.

It may have taken 44 years but Red Lodge girls’ basketball has now joined the ranks of the elite and, I have a feeling, is here to stay. Coach Jason Reimer is confident of continued success with younger students coming through who are excited by seeing the volleyball team succeed and now the basketball team.

This ripple effect is infectious and once caught can reap huge benefits and fruitful results.

It is the beginning of an era and who knows there maybe a time in the near future when Red Lodge girls achieve a double, State Champs in both volleyball and basketball.

They’re on the cusp!
