William L. Stein

William “Bill” Leo Stein, 90, of Fromberg, Montana, passed away Oct. 31, 2017 at St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings, Montana.
He was born Aug. 6, 1927 in Ogilvie, Minneapolis, the son of Joseph and Ruth (Norberg) Stein. After graduating from Ogilvie High School he enlisted in the US Navy where he received an honorable discharge.
He moved to Billings and worked in automotive sales. On May 15, 1997 Bill was united in marriage to Dixie O’Connor in Wendover, Nevada. Bill had a passion for hunting and fishing and cheering for the Minnesota sport teams.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother. He is survived by children from a previous marriage to Millie: Diane Wagner and her husband Bill of Las Vegas, Brian Stein and his wife Barb of Big Fork, Montana, Joanne Larsen and her husband Rob of Forest Lake, Minneapolis; 4 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later time. Arrangements are in the care of Dahl Funeral Chapel and memories may be shared at www.dahlfuneralchapel.com
