On Jan. 2 the Red Lodge Rams girls’ basketball started back after Christmas break with a home game against the Roundup Panthers. The Rams jumped out in the 1st quarter with a 13 to 4 lead and kept up the momentum from there. The final score was Red Lodge Rams 58 and the Roundup Panthers 27. Rylee Kane led all scores with 17, followed by Jill Purcell with 12. The Rams had 22 steals at half time and finished the game with 34 overall. Friday Jan. 3 the Lady Rams traveled to Huntley Projects to take on the Lady Red Devils. The Rams struggled to get going on the offensive end even with creating many steals on the defensive end. At half time the Rams were down by 8 with at score of 26 to 18. In the third quarter they brought the score within 2 points but could never take the lead. The final score of the game was Red Lodge Rams 33 and Huntley Project Red Devils 48. Jill Purcell finished the game with 14 points and Rylee Kane had 13 points. The Lady Rams play in Absarokee on Jan. 10 and at home against Shepherd on Jan. 11.
