On Saturday, June 7, a call came in to Red Lodge Fire Rescue for help up on the Beartooth Pass. According to RLFR spokesperson Asano Otsu, “The call came in as a helicopter request from the Beartooth Basin Ski Patrol (was issued). We responded to aid in case of an unsuccessful landing/if the weather didn't permit the operation.” The RLFR rallied to the call with staff and vehicles. They sent a fire truck, an ambulance, and a search and rescue truck with responders. Their paramedic and advanced EMT actively helped with patient care before turning the care over to Eaglemed Flight from Cody.
