Thursday, July 23, 2020

The City of Red Lodge supports Governor Bullock’s July 15, Mandatory Mask/Face Covering. The City and the Red Lodge Police Department will work with local merchants to ensure that the directive is properly enforced per the Governor’s directions.
If you are a business owner, this directive is only enforceable against businesses and other people who are responsible for indoor spaces open to the public, or sponsors of organized outdoor activities as defined in the directive. The definition of business covers every business currently operating in Red Lodge. The City recommends that you read over the Governor’s directives for more information. There are exceptions included in the Governor’s directive that apply for certain individuals who are not required to wear a mask.
In the event you are a business that is responsible for indoor spaces open to the public or sponsors of organized outdoor activities defined by the directive, you may ask a customer who refuses to wear a mask to leave your business. You may deny entry, refuse service or ask to leave any person who refuses to wear a mask with the exception of those listed in Section 4 of the Directive. Then if an individual refuses to wear a mask or leave, please call the dispatch for assistance.
As a business owner, if you refuse to follow this directive regarding masks, may be cited with both a civil and criminal penalty by the county attorney. Fines are up to $500 per occurrence.
