Award winning Montana film now available for purchase

“What Separates Us” is the second collaboration between director Bryan Ferriter and producer, Isaac Marble. Both Montana natives and Carroll College graduates, the duo set out to tell the story of growing up in a small town under the big sky. The film is a coming-of-age love story filmed on location in Helena and Missoula and is an authentic representation of the scenic beauty and artistic talent available in Montana.
“What Separates Us” made it’s debut at the Machetanz Film Festival where it won laurels for “Best Picture” and continued its successful festival run through 2017 across the Pacific Northwest and Los Angeles, picking up the honors of “Best Actor” at the Flathead Lake International Cinemafest. Described as “uniquely Montana,” by the Carbon County News, “What Separates Us” opened in art-house theaters across the state to enthusiastic audiences.
With a largely local cast and crew, the film’s Montana roots run deep, featuring the artwork of local landscape artist, Tyler Murphy and a performance by Carroll College football legend, Brandon Day. The Montana crew is complemented by the captivating acting of Los Angeles-based Shannon Mary Dixon and music by Billboard-charting composer William Piotrowski, whose collaboration with Ferriter on “Crimson Winter” in 2013 was nominated by Reel Music for best original score and cue.
The film is currently available for order through Amazon and Vimeo via http://www.runningbearmedia.com/what-separates-us/ and will be available for download or rental on iTunes beginning Oct. 22.
