On July 22 The Beartooth Plein Air Society artists are joining the Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary, Red Lodge, for the first day of their weeklong painting Blitz.

Sponsored by the Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary artists will have the opportunity to paint the wonderful animals, gardens, or vistas at the sanctuary located at 615 2nd St East.

During regular sanctuary visiting hours, with the admission fee, the public is invited to watch the artists while they work.  From 10 a.m. – 12 noon an art table will be available for children to create their own masterpieces.

The Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary is committed to connecting people with native Montana wildlife whether through hands on education, observation, or the arts.  This collaboration between the sanctuary and the artists is a perfect fit.

The Beartooth Plein Air Society was formed by a group of local artists to promote painting on location in the Red Lodge area.  For the fifth year in a row, founders Dorci Tremblay and Elizabeth LaRowe offer free to adults, five days of plein air painting opportunities during the last full week in July.

All levels of art experience are welcome.  Meet at 9 a.m. Monday July 22 at the Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary.  For more information call Dorci Tremblay:  406-446-1490 or Elizabeth LaRowe: 406-426-0269.
