A Wyoming man has been arrested by Red Lodge Police Department in connection with passing counterfeit $100 bills at several businesses in town last weekend.

According to Officer Al Stuber three businesses were targeted but only one of them cashed a bill.

Stuber said there were a number of indicators on the bill that would help businesses determine if the $100 is forged.

1) All the $100 bills carry the same number: LB45440078L

2) The blue magnetic strip is not reflective.

3) A money marker pen, when used on a counterfeit note, will leave a black mark.

4) Benjamin Franklin's hologram is missing.

5) Some carry Chinese writing on the backside of the bill in the holographic area.

6) The bill is made of plain paper and not fabric.

The Red Lodge Police Department is handing the case over to the U.S. Treasury for further investigation.
