  • ●  The Beartooth Highway is now open 7am-7pm. Find updates at MDT road condition web pagewww.mdt.mt.gov
  • ●  The East Side Road is now open via the north temporary single-lane bridge only; local access to private and public lands. The south bridge of East Side Road is still out.
  • ●  Meeteetsee Trail Road south of Red Lodge is scheduled to open Thursday, July 28, 2022 at 6pm. This temporary one-lane bridge provides access to public and private lands.

• Public Road Status/Closures: Red Lodge Area: West Fork Road beyond Basin Camp Ground (MP 7.2) to the end of the road; Roscoe Area: East Rosebud Road approximately 1 mile south of the National Forest Boundary (MP 5.1) to the end of the road.; For more on road closures see map at www.CarbonAlert.org or visit specific agency web pages.Public Bridge Closures: Red Lodge: 9th Street Bridge-bridge out; 19th Street Bridge-closed indefinitely; Sanitary Sewer: Temporary sewer repairs have been completed in the flood impacted areas of RedLodge. Public Works continues to evaluate damages to sanitary sewer lines.Power, Phone and Gas Utilities: East Side Road natural gas service to existing customers was restoredWednesday 7/27/22.Solid Waste/Trash Removal: Fromberg dumpsters available until 07/31/22; Natural debris dumping allowed on MDT property located north of Red Lodge at MM 76 US 212 near Fox, MT. Red Lodge dumpsters in place until 7/31/22; Private dumpsters are in the area as well. Large volume private trash loads can be hauled to Billings Regional Landfill, 5240 Jellison Rd, Billings.Potable (Drinking) Water: There are no boil advisories in effect for any water district in Carbon County. Fromberg town officials are exploring mitigation options at this time. Residents are encouraged to remove standing water in non-natural standing water collectors such as tires and basins when possible.FLOOD ASSISTANCE● The Red Cross of Montana has financial assistance available to help with flood recovery. Scammers are attempting to take over FEMA accounts by calling applicants and collecting personally identifying information.
