The Bridger boys made quick work of Park City in the 6C championship game in Red Lodge, defeating the Panthers 49-32.

Bridger were dominant in nearly every department making 18 of their 38 shots against the Panthers 11 and leading 18 to 10 in turnovers.

The Scouts lead at the half 21-13 and allowed Park City little room to move or create.

Carson Roberts stood strong in both offense and defense sharing the top points total of 12 with Kolton Pospisil. Roberts also lead in rebounds with 16. Workhorse Colter Zentner scored 10 points and drove the Panthers crazy with his darting runs. Colby Zentner took 7 points, Kalen Pospisil 6 and Jake Mitzel 2.

Bridger started their route to victory with a win over Absarokee followed by an impressive performance against Plenty Coups in the semi final that saw the Scouts win 67-61.

Bridger made 51 percent of their shots compared to Plenty Coups 32 but zero on three pointers as Plenty Coups scored a 25 percent success rate. Both teams were close on their free throws, but in turnovers Bridger led 16-10.

Kolton Pospisil led on points with 18, Colby Zentner made 16 with Colter Zentner had 7 and Russell Zentner and Kaleb Buessing had 4 each.

The other stable mate Roberts did not fare as well. The Rockets had defeated Fromberg 67-54 in the play in game last week but lost their opening match 65-24 to Park City. The Rockets made 33 percent of their shot against 55 for the Panthers and were 18-8 in turnovers.

Riley Gebhardt led in scoring with 8 points, Preston Ehrlich made 6 with Allexander Kosel on 4. Jace Weimer and Ryan DeVries got 3 points each.

Roberts went on to face Harlowton in the loser out game and were narrowly defeated 75-65.

The Rockets made a fist of it and were close to the Engineers on free throw successes and 3 pointers but down heavily on shooting stats. Kosel scored an impressive 24 points, with DeVries on 13, Weimer on 9, Ehrlich on 8, Gebhardt on 7 and Augustus Dibes on 4.
