Call for petition to rename Highway

The Roberts Activities Committee is asking for people to sign a petition to rename Highway 212, between Rock- vale and Red Lodge, the ‘Veteran’s Memorial Highway’ in celebration of all the Veteran’s displays in Carbon County. There are currently 1,177 or more crosses and dog tags displayed in the County.Petitions can be located in Roberts at the Chuckwagon, Heavy Horse Bar, Lost Village Saloon, Brown Bear Bar; in Joliet at the Bank of Joliet, Copper Wil- low Saloon, The Frontier Bar, and the J-Bar; and in Red Lodge at Montana Realty Company and The Carbon County News. The Committee is looking to get 1,000 signatures and hopes to get elected representatives to support this before submitting it.
