Colt passed away tragically on June 10 at his home in Red Lodge. He was 26 years old.

Colt was raised in Newport Beach, California, spent most of his life in California, but considered Red Lodge his forever home.

Colt moved to Red Lodge in February 2018 to join his aunt and uncle and to start the next chapter in his life.  He attended Northwest College and majored in Drafting Technology/design where he excelled.

In April 2019, Colt was recognized as the outstanding student in the program. Colt worked for the Special Operations Group in Cody, Wyoming, part-time while attending school in Powell, as well as working for Royal Fabrication, in Red Lodge. He loved the work and the friends he made along the way.

Colt found his happy place in Red Lodge. He loved our small community in the mountains, he enjoyed the outdoors and rock climbing, spending time with his family and friends, and eating Mexican food and barbecue! His sense of humor, love of life, and his undying loyalty to those in his life will never be forgotten. There will be a celebration of Colt’s life at the Snow Creek Saloon the evening of July 10.

He is mourned in Red Lodge by his auntie and uncle, Terri Durbin and Jim Dufour; his extended family at Royal Fabrication and many in the community that touched his life.

Colt can never be replaced and will never be forgotten. Rest in peace my precious nephew, I have always loved you unconditionally and you will always be in my heart.
