Dr. Robert W. "Doc" Williams

Dr. Robert W. "Doc" Williams passed away at his home in Red Lodge on March 28 after a long illness. He was 84. 

A longtime resident of Red Lodge, Doc moved to Montana after his retirement from his medical practice as a Neurosurgeon in Las Vegas to enjoy riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. 

Doc rode in every July 4th parade on his Harley dressed up as Uncle Sam, never having missed a parade. A graduate and Distinguished Alumnus of the University of Illinois College of Medicine, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, an inventor, a member of the Harvey Cushing Society, and a decorated veteran of the US Army Medical Corps from the Vietnam era, he will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery at a future date, to be announced. 

Donations may be made in his honor to the Wounded Warrior Project.
