Forming a Short Term Rental Advisory Committee

  The City of Red Lodge is seeking five to seven (5-7) people to serve on a Short Term Rental Advisory Committee (STR Committee). This advisory group will research and recommend actions the City may take toward regulating and/or improving current and future short term (vacation) rental situations within the City expressly for the purpose of protecting and preserving the residential character of neighborhoods, reducing the risk of liability to the City, and ensuring the public health, safety and welfare of residents and visitors alike (purposes set forth in Resolution 3607).   The term of this committee is short: from September 13 to December 13, 2022 and members may determine day/time and frequency of their publically noticed meetings according to the same City Bylaws as all other City Advisory Boards.  Preference for appointments will be given to City residents and/or individuals that have knowledge or experience in matters of short-term rentals or trends in housing.   Letters of interest should include your full name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, a brief statement as to why you are interested in volunteering to serve on this committee and mailed to: The City of Red Lodge, Attention Mayor Cogswell, P.O.
