Fun Run 15 “Giving for Good” covering health and safety

The 15th Fun Run for Charities will be Saturday, Sept. 1, starting at 9 a.m. at Red Lodge Lions Park. Red Lodge has a number of nonprofit, volunteer organizations making a significant impact in the community. Sixty-one of these organizations depend in large part upon donations made through the Annual Fun Run for Charities.

Safe and Healthy Community: The following organizations make it part of their mission to help us continue to have a safe, positive, and enriching place to live. Beartooth Billings Clinic Foundation supports the Beartooth Billings Clinic by making possible the purchase new equipment and system updates to ensure patients receive the best care possible. Beartooth Humane Alliance assists the people and animals of Carbon and Stillwater by helping companion animals in need, providing solutions to dog and cat overpopulation, and by serving as an animal welfare resource. Beartooth Industries and Homes encourage, support, and enable each person with special needs it serves to make life choices that expand opportunities for growth and development. Carbon County Search and Rescue Volunteers Association serves Carbon County in Wilderness emergencies. They assist the sheriff by aiding in saving life and lending services to persons in situations dangerous to life and limb. Community Care of Red Lodge Fire Rescue is a mobile health project committed to caring for the unmet health needs of our community. Domestic and Sexual Violence Services helps survivors of abuse and promotes healthy, equitable, and violence-free relationships. Friends of the West Fork Winter Plowing preserves safe and continuous access to all three West Fork winter recreation areas by plowing West Fork Road from the intersection with Ski Run Road to the winter closure at the Girl Scout Camp. Red Lodge Area Food Partnership Council promotes a healthy food system that improves the community's quality of life, economy, and self-reliance while preserving the land for generations to come. Red Lodge EMS Association provides training, logistical, financial, and/or other support to the ambulance service serving the Red Lodge Ambulance District in Carbon County. Red Lodge Volunteer Firefighters Association provides communities served with professional volunteers for fire and emergency services while promoting public safety and awareness and maintaining the highest level of training and morale.
