Georgia Jean Ecker Carder

Georgia Jean Ecker Carder, youngest daughter of Leonard and Dottie Ecker, sister of Sally Hilderman and Lee Cooper, died of cancer on Dec. 15, 2017 in Reno, Nevada. She was 64.
Georgia loved coming to Red Lodge. She first visited in 1976 when Sally and Lanny were married. She and her husband Jeff and daughters Jeanette and Kristen returned many times since, in all seasons. She enjoyed taking walks around town, shopping for her granddaughter Charlotte at Kids Corner, meeting her sisters for coffee at Honey’s, drinking Smith and Kerns with Lee at the Front Bar, joining Sally at Monie’s for pedicures, having beers with Lanny and Bill at Sam’s. Christmas Stroll was one of her favorite times. She spent time playing cribbage with Dad and working jig-saw puzzles with Mom. In their last years, when help with their care was needed, she always came.
She was a lively presence in our hearts from the day she was born. Our friends who met her knew why we loved her so. When she walked into the room, the party started. We miss her terribly and wish everyone could have known her.
