The Red Lodge Theater Company in new seating.

The Red Lodge Theater Company is at it again as they present the hilarious comedy “The Great Nursing Home Escape by Nathan Hartswick. The play marks the directing debut of Becci Larson.  Becci as you might recall played M’Lynn in the company’s production of “Steel Magnolias.” The play’s assistant director this time is Bobbie Wooldridge whom I’m sure you’ve all seen in many productions.

The play itself revolves around 6 feisty elders.  From the second floor of a locked-down nursing home in the dead of night, they attempt the greatest escape ever. Join this misfit band of “inmates” as they hatch a master plan to escape their dreary nursing home but find something far more important than a baseball game – they find their youth. Watch as their best-laid plans go awry with side-splitting results! This group of characters will charm you as Chris Benton( the ringleader), Maree Baldwin (the gossip), Diane Goedde (the grouch) Guynema Terry (the airhead) Dan Erfurdt (the Casanova) and Dianne Milleson ( the shy old gal with a surprising amount of moxie) put their talents to the test despite the interference of Kyle Archbold (the guard,) Teresa Oliphant (the head nurse) and Lynn Lalle as a TV watching grandma. The play is both funny and heartwarming. The show will be presented at the old Roosevelt. The cast is very excited about the new audience-tiered seating so that every seat is a great one. The production dates are Friday and Saturday, Oct. 5 and 6, and Friday and Saturday, October 12 and 13. Tickets at the door. All shows begin nightly at 7:15. Doors open at 6:30. Contact: 425-1950.
