John Deere job fair being held

The Montana FFA Foundation partners with John Deere Dealers to host more than 1,500 middle and high school Agricultural Education students at the sixth annual John Deere Ag Expo, set for Thursday, Nov. 9 - Nov. 11 at Montana State University.
This three-day action-packed event will be comprised of leadership conferences from elite speakers across the nation, Career Development Events (CDE's), and tours of the MSU campus. The Premier Leadership Conference for upperclassman and the Montana Leadership Conference for freshman and sophomores will host nearly 300 high school students. Over 1,500 students will compete in over 25 CDE's including agricultural mechanics and food science contests, agribusiness and agronomy tests, marketing presentations, and public speaking. An event highlight will be a Keynote dinner that will include guest speaker, farmer and agricultural advocate from Mesilla Park, New Mexico - Jay Hill.
The FFA Foundation is excited for President Waded Cruzado to welcome our students to Montana State during the Keynote Dinner. President Cruzado has been a champion for our students at John Deere Ag Expo and for Montana FFA as a whole.
The John Deere Ag Expo welcomes FFA and 4-H members from over 60 schools and clubs, which does require a large number of volunteer support. We welcome all volunteers to proctor tests and judge events. Volunteers do not have to be previously involved with FFA to volunteer. To sign up to volunteer, simply go to:
According to event organizers, there are 94 FFA chapters across the state of Montana with a combined membership of almost 5,000 students. This year, Montana FFA celebrates its 88th year. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend this event.
The Montana FFA strives to make a positive difference in the lives of its members across the state; through Agriculture Education, leadership development opportunities, Career Development Events, and the promotion of community based projects. This is our future and John Deere wants everyone to know that they support the future of agriculture in Montana.
