Joliet finishes joint 1st in 8 Man Football

Joliet football team ended the regular season as they began with an emphatic win.
This time it was Gardiner’s turn to feel the heat as they were crushed 52-8.
Joliet finished joint 1st in the Southern C 8 man football table with an 8-1 record tied with Tri-City and Ennis. The J-Hawks go into 8-Man Championship to face to Charlo away at 1 p.m. Oct. 28.
In offensive rushing stats Brett Robinson had 17 carries for 102 yards with 3 touchdowns; Trey Olson had 4 carries for 33 yards and Justin Harris had 7 carries for 60 yards, touchdown.
In passing Taylor Rowlison was 4-6 120 yards with 1 touchdown and 1 interception. 
For receiving Ry Olson had 2 catches for 38 yards, Robinson had 1 catch for 70 yards 1 touchdown, Caleb Bailey had 1 catch for 12 yards.
In defense Justin Harris had 2 solo tackles and assisted on 9 tackles totaling 6.5 tackles, Caiden Kirby had 6 solo tackles and assisted on 4 tackles totaling 8 tackles and a 1/2 sack and 1 fumble caused, Robinson had 2 solo tackles and assisted on 3 totaling 3.5 tackles and 2 fumble recoveries for 2 touchdowns.
Grant O'Rourke had 3 solo tackles and assisted 3 totaling 4.5 tackles and 1/2 sack.
“As I have been all year, I am really proud of our players and coaching staff, I could not have asked for a better finish to the regular season,” said Coach George Warburton.  “We played solid on both sides of the ball in Gardiner. Our focus now is round 1 of the playoffs in Charlo. We are preparing to play our best game of the season, we are going to make our presence known in the post season.”
