A cagey defensive affair as games go with West Yellowstone denying Joliet at every turn and managing to take home the spoils with a 16-12 win.

In offensive rushing Joliet’s Rye Bradstrup carried the ball 22 times for 117 yards and 1 (50 yard) touchdown.

Passing Hayden Ward was 3-17 for 26 yards with 1 (5 yard) touchdown and 2 interceptions.

Caleb Bailey caught 2 balls for 12 yards and 1 touchdown.

In defense Kelly Lind led the way with 2 solo tackles and assisted on 12 tackles and had 2 sacks and caused 1 fumble and causes 1 fumble. Wyatt Anderson had 5 solo tackles and assisted 6 tackles and had 1 sack. Bailey had 5 solo tackles and assisted on 7 tackles. Tyler Butts had 4 solo tackles and assisted on 7 tackles and had 1 sack.

“We came out against West Yellowstone giving 110% but as the game went on we had hard time executing our game plan due to field conditions and a well prepared opponent. West Yellowstone came out in the 2nd half and completely shut us down,” said Joliet coach George Warburton. “We’ll keep our heads up and focus on Twin Bridges next weekend.”
