Joliet’s Makenna Bushman goes for a kill against Columbus.

The Joliet girls’ volleyball team took 3rd in the gold bracket at the Columbus Invite at the weekend defeating Roundup in both sets in the first bracket game and then losing to Huntley Project in the semi final.  Coach Colette Webber is positive for the season, saying, “I felt we were competitive with Huntley.  We have a young team with no seniors but I think we will surprise people with our level of play.” Joliet will play Huntley Project again at home Aug. 30 at 7 p.m.
