Joliet booked their place at the 4B Volleyball Tournament in Huntley Project this coming weekend. They have a ‘Bye’ for their first game and will play either Red Lodge or Shepherd Oct. 27 at 3 p.m.
The Lady J-Hawks rounded off their regular season with a win against Roundup 25-20, 25-19, 25-12 bouncing back from an earlier defeat to Red Lodge 25-23, 17-25, 18-25, 25-18  16-18.
Against Roundup the team recorded 36 kills (Joelle Luoma 12, Tayler Wright 6, Shayla Webber 6); 31 assists (Webber 21, Luoma 9); 17 aces (Webber 6, Luoma 4); 53 digs (Webber 11, Luoma 11) and 3 blocks.
In the Red Lodge game, Luoma continued with her kills, getting 16 with Vanessa Nowak 13 while the team scored 56.
For the 54 assists Webber impressed with 28 and Luoma 19. Webber also claimed 5 of the 13 aces and 22 of the 106 digs, with team mate Makeanna Bushman getting 30. Luoma also got 2 of the 7 blocks.
“Our loss to Red Lodge was good in the fact that it showed us where we were weak and what we need to work on going into Districts,’ said Coach Colette Webber.  “We knew they would be tougher the second time around.  It was a hard fought battle.  We didn't adjust quick enough at times and that hurt us.”
“Roundup was our Senior Night and Pack it Pink.  It was a great night supporting a family in our community that is struggling with cancer and celebrating our Seniors. We played like the family we are and enjoyed the game of volleyball as a team,” she said.
