Joliet’s Home Coming saw wins for both the football and volleyball teams.
The football team took apart Lone Peak 56-21, with the J-Hawks wrapping the game up by half time. It puts the team in 10th place in the Class C 8 Man standings on a 6-1 record.
In offense Taylor Rowlison was 5-11 in passing for 69 yards with 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.  The touchdowns were 9 yards and 30 yards.
In receiving Ry Olson had 4 catches totaling 60 yards with 2 touchdowns and Brett Robinson had 1 catch for 9 yards.
In rushing Trey Oswald had 10 carries for 47 yards and 2 touchdowns.  The touchdowns were 1 yard and 4 yards. Brett Robinson had 10 carries for 48 yards and 1 touchdown.  The touchdown was 7 yards. Ry Olson had 2 carries for 51 yards and 1 touchdown. The touchdown was 44 yards.
In defense Justin Harris had 6 tackles and 2 sacks, Brett Robinson had 5 1/2 tackles and Declan Sielaff had 1 assisted tackle 1 sack, 1 strip, and 1 fumble recovery for a touchdown.
“I am very proud of the way the team fought through the distractions of homecoming week and used it as motivation," said Coach George Warburton. “We came out ready to play and Brett Robinson took the opening kick off 77 yards for a touchdown. That score created a momentum that we used on both sides of the ball.”
“Offensively, we were very effective, we had 3 different kids (Robinson, Oswald and Olson) carry the ball for 45 or more yards each and our passing game was just as strong,” said Warburton. “Defensively we had a total of eight sacks (Justin Harris had 2) and were very successful at keeping their offense shut down. Now we focus on Senior Night against Park City and preparing our team to make it a memorable game for our Seniors."
