Joliet tastes first season defeat

The Joliet football team were held at bay by Ennis and lost 58-18 to the Mustangs.
The J-Hawks never recovered from giving up three touchdowns before the half although their defensive shows a fighting spirit.
“Brett Robinson was a beast,” said coach George Warburton. “He had 7 solo tackles and 10 assist tackles and 1 pass deflection.”  Elsewhere Trey Oswald had 1 solo and 7 assist tackles, Justin Harris was in on 8 assist tackles and Caiden Kirby had 1 solo and 5 assist tackles.
In offense Oswald had 18 rushes for 68 yards with Brett Robinson 2 rushes for 36 yards with 1 being a 30-yard touchdown run.
In passing Taylor Rowlison was 7-13 for 129 yards with 2 touchdowns and in receiving Ry Olson had 6 catches for 122 yards with two being 23 yard touchdown and a 50 yards touchdown. Brett Robinson had 1 catch for 7 yards.
“We had an off night and lost to a solid team, we aren't going to dwell on it.  We are looking forward to getting back in the win column on Saturday,” said Warburton.
