Kelly Heaton, Executive Director of Domestic and Sexual Violence Services in Red Lodge, recently returned from a leadership conference in Miles City sponsored by Leadership Montana (ML), a nonprofit.
She explained, “The Leadership Montana Confluence this year was focused on the need to reinvent your business/organization to ensure you are always relevant and meeting the needs of the people you serve. Leaders from across the state came to connect, collaborate and learn from multiple speakers and panels about how each of them have used this reinvention to invigorate and inspire. We also learned about challenges leaders in Miles City and the surrounding areas are facing and how we can all support each other in finding solutions."
The ML annual signature event, The Confluence, is a traveling conference spanning two days in September and is open to the general public. According to the ML website it is a conference with “interactive opportunities to learn from community leaders about the challenges and opportunities unique to their town. Think of it as a leadership retreat full of inspiring people who love Montana.”
