Women register for election. Forty thousand feminine voters registered in Lost Angels this year, with great enthusiasm shown by the women who will cast  their ballots for the first time. Tons of socialist letters have been distributed to the homes of the city in an effort to convert the women. It is alleged thousands of women, not socialists, will vote for Job Harriman, socialist candidate, for mayor as a protest vote against General Harrison Otis. Otis is the proprietor of the Los Angeles Times who opposed the granting of suffrage to women. Union labor and capital's long war also enters largely into the equation.
