Mary Lou (Blakley) Maryott

Mary Lou Maryott, 85, went to be with her Lord on Nov. 25, 2018, at Beartooth Billings Clinic Hospital, in Red Lodge, Montana.
She was born Dec. 25, 1932, in Weston, Missouri, to Orville D. Blakley, Sr. and Amanda D. (Crockett) Blakley. She grew up on a farm in Weston, Missouri, and graduated from Weston High School. She moved to Kansas City, Missouri, attended Kansas City Secretarial School, and was secretary to Powel C. Groner, President of Kansas City Public Service.
On Aug. 2, 1958, she married Dr. Manfred S. Maryott of Red Lodge, Montana. She was office manager for Manfred until he retired. She was active in the Bridger’s Women’s Club, a member of Bridger United Methodist Church and Eastern Star.
After moving to Red Lodge, she was active in the Messiah Lutheran Church, Bible Study and Book Club.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, W. Kent Weigman; mother and father in law, Lou and Louise Maryott.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Dr. Manfred S. Maryott; sisters, Mae (Tommy) Miller, Lee’s Summit, Missouri; Helen F. Weigman, Weston, Missouri; and brother, Orville D. (Shirley) Blakley, Jr., Weston, Missouri; 10 nieces and nephews; 11 great nieces and nephews; and 9 great-great nieces and nephews. She was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
A celebration of Mary Lou’s life will be held Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018, at 1 p.m., at Messiah Lutheran Church, Red Lodge, Montana, with a reception following. No visitation.
Memorials in Mary Lou’s honor may be given to Messiah Lutheran Church, or charity of your choice.
